Targets


Shooting Types

  • Sighters2 slow and unscored shots to show where you hit
  • Single Snap1 quick shot then target disappears/turn sideways
  • Double Snap2 quick shots then target disappears/turn sideways
  • Triple Snap3 quick shots then target disappears/turn sideways
  • Alternating SnapMix of snaps, can be 1, 2 or 3 shots
  • Rapid40 to 60 sec to shoot 8 or 10 shots at a target.
  • DeliberateMultiple rounds over long period (60 sec+)
  • Application / App’nIndividually scored shots, usually on 4 ft target

Application Shooting

  1. Shoot once.
  2. Target goes down.
  3. Target back up.
  4. Coloured sign show hit area.
  5. Sign goes to corner. (Picture shows corner meanings)
  6. Shoot again, repeat.

Sign Colours

RED sign = 2, 3 or 4.

WHITE sign = 5 or V.

V is centre, it is highest score.


Usual Instructions & Translations

  1. “Shooters on the mound, this is a ? round (rapid/single tap/double tap/etc.) practice. Load ? rounds.”

Prepare ? rounds. Aim gun when the target shows. (Don’t shoot. Keep bolt back.)

  1. “Action!, Instant!” 

Close the bolt.

  1. “Watch and shoot!” (1st one)

Warning to get ready.

  1. “Watch and shoot!” (2nd one

Final warning. Shoot when targets show.

STOP SHOOTING when “Cease fire!” is yelled or whistle is blown (Usually when there is safety issues).

Ø D Grade: <60

Ø C Grade: 60 to 69

Ø B Grade: 70 to 79

Ø A Grade: 80 to 89

Ø Master Grade: 90+
